The Mentality of Illumination X Phenomenon.
Sounds kind of cool, doesn’t it? The name of it definitely pops, but what exactly is this phenomenon that I speak of? Well, to give the brief answer, it is simply an upcoming book tour for two pertinent projects, one being my own upcoming novel, Illumination X, and a preview of a project of mine and my close friend C.J. Dunlap, known as The Mentality of Generation X. Both are stellar works of literature, but they are two similar yet different projects in and of themselves.
Let’s start out with Illumination X.
Illumination X is an upcoming literary fiction novel written by me, M.K. Alexander, with a pending worldwide release in August of 2015. It is a novel which does a good job of mixing popular elements of storytelling such as the supernatural, some history, action, mystery, and even some laughs. Here is a quick synopsis of the novel for you to check out:

I spent the last two years doing my absolute best to make this as awesome as possible, and soon everyone will be able to read and indulge in the first book of my planned Illumination X series (yeap, I said series all right; I hope you all didn’t think that this would be a one and done kind of thing).
Now let’s get to The Mentality of Generation X.
Unlike Illumination X, which is a fiction by all rights, The Mentality of Generation X is a nonfictional series of social standpoint and issues essays, written by myself and C.J. Dunlap. As both of us are young adults in our early twenties with a more traditional view of the world and the society that we live in, we decided to use our skills at writing to try and deliver a series of messages to the masses. The first of these essays is titled ‘The Stigma of Ghetto and its Influence on Generation Me’. I won’t spoil it for you, because it will be posted up to the site for your reading leisure.
The plan for this ‘Mentality of Illumination X‘ book tour is twofold. First and foremost, C.J. and myself want to get our projects in the limelight (obviously). Exposure, advertising, fans (hopefully), and all that good stuff sounds epic to a first time author. However, the secondary reason lies within The Mentality of Generation X; good reads are awesome to anyone with a thirst for reading, but we want the audience to take something out of these works. When it comes to The Mentality of Generation X, these are social viewpoints that we think this world, especially anyone in this new generation, need to take heed to if we as a world want real advancement in our society.
